Eventually I bought a jar of it from them -- not necessarily the best way to do one's grocery shopping I might add. But it was closer than Bonner Springs, home to the company which makes it.
Now we've rediscovered it at the terrific Broadway Butcher Shop (3828 Broadway) and I am sooo HAPPY. Not that I eat catsup all the time, but when I do, I want it to be this -- and keep in mind this is coming from someone who has tried every commercial catsup out there but never supplanted Heinz. I know, I know.
Anyway, try this catsup. And no, no one (as usual) is paying me to say this. Alas.
I like it so much I'm going to the American's next dinner on May 14, cuz Crum's farms is a big part of the evening. If you want to join us, go here: http://theamericankc.com/2014/40th-anniversary-dinner-dave-crum-crums-heirlooms-arrowhead-specialty-meats/.
Of course, I've been to the last two and they were only spectacular. I'm hoping to be 12 for 12!
