This will be quick cuz you're probably not . . .
You may be perfectly quick.
Son Brandon picked us up on a four hour lay-over the other day on our way to Puerto Vallarta. (Yeah, that does sound snotty. But I just can't help it. Margaritas will do that to you.)
So in preparation for the many days of solid over-eating/drinking of Mexican food he knew we'd do, he took us to Mí Día in Grapevine. We didn't have much, but it was REALLY good, even in comparison to the great meals we've had recently (see above mentioned location. Ha!)
Here is what I especially liked about what we had, other than the rug outside the front door. I liked that the salsa was divided into two distinct varieties, the chips were warm, the excellent tacos came with a crispier rice and smooth black bean paste, and the fact that the tortilla soup was tasty and not over-thought. Everything is, or seems to be, made "from scratch" and son Brandon tells me everything he's had there is excellent there, too.
So if you're in Dallas, you might want to make your day with Mí Día . . . Though I don't think Brandon will come get you at the airport. Pity. He's such a great guy! (Even if I do say so myself.)
