But a FREE House You Could Move to the City . . . Or Anywhere Else
Yep, being given away for free. Plus $8,000 to defray moving it. It's in great shape, truly.
A home built in 1914 is looking for a new location and a new owner. Currently sitting at 71st and Metcalf, developer/builder Brad Peters of PCG Construction has been trying to give it away for several months. So far, no takers. The four bedroom home with one bathroom and original woodwork and in excellent, working condition will be demolished in a month to make way for a new small townhouse development but Peters says he would love to give it away.
“It’s a historical home, solidly built and it would be a great smaller home for someone,” Peters points out. “I thought it would be a good addition to the new Johnson County Historical Society grounds on Metcalf but they are not interested. I hate to destroy a piece of Overland Park history but that is going to happen soon I fear.”
